The New Professionals Network is pleased to invite you to attend its upcoming webinar focusing on Supporting Well-being in the Mining Industry.

About this event

In an industry as demanding and challenging as mining, supporting the well-being of the workforce is not just a moral obligation but a strategic imperative. This webinar will delve into how mining companies can proactively foster a culture of health and wellness, ultimately leading to a safer, more productive work environment.

Jessica Pereira is a leading workplace health and safety professional in the mining and resources industry. With a robust background in physiotherapy and nearly 18 years of practical experience, Jessica has excelled in various aspects of workplace health and wellness, including risk management, hygiene, injury management, rehabilitation, and return to work.

Why This Topic Matters:

Employee Well-being and Productivity:
The well-being of employees directly impacts their productivity, engagement, and overall job satisfaction. In high-risk industries like mining, ensuring that employees are physically and mentally healthy can lead to significant improvements in operational efficiency and safety performance.

Reducing Injuries and Illnesses:
Effective well-being programs can reduce the incidence of workplace injuries and illnesses. By addressing both physical and psychosocial hazards, companies can create safer work environments and reduce costs associated with workplace accidents and absenteeism.

Attracting and Retaining Talent:
A strong commitment to employee well-being can enhance a company’s reputation, making it easier to attract and retain top talent. Workers are increasingly seeking employers who prioritize their health and well-being, and mining companies that lead in this area will stand out in the competitive job market.

Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management:
Adopting a comprehensive well-being strategy helps companies stay compliant with health and safety regulations. It also supports risk management efforts by identifying and mitigating potential health risks before they become critical issues.

Following the presentation, participants will have the unique opportunity to engage in a Q&A session, gaining further insights and advice directly from our expert.
