Challenges and Changes to the Osborne Ore Processing Plant. A story of Osborne, Kulthor and Starra orebodies.
About this event
Kinga Galka – Metallurgist at Osborne Mine.
Kinga graduated from the University of Queensland in 2006. This is her 15th year in the field and she has worked throughout Australia.
She has tried to work with as many unit processes in order to ultimately be able to do smart and practical plant design. These include: Gravity Gold, CIL/CIP, Bacterial Oxidation, CIL/CIP, Cu-Pb-Zn Flotation and Water Treatment in a Uranium Mine.
Gold processing is where it all started, but the last 10 years has been dominated by Copper – at Osborne Mine. The different orebodies have kept her interest there and in this Tech Talk she will share a summary of the challenges and changes in Osborne Processing Plant.
