Shaping the future of the resources industry – celebrating AusIMM’s 130th anniversary

AusIMM and our UK committee are delighted to host an evening with Dave Clark and Leigh Slomp as we reflect on a long and proud history of representing mining professionals around the globe and look to the future of a rapidly evolving resources sector.

About this event

Visiting London and joining us from Australia will be AusIMM Dave Clark, Immediate Past President, and Leigh Slomp, Chief Advisor, Professional Standards, for a special evening to celebrate AusIMM’s 130th anniversary.

Dave will share some reflections on industry change across AusIMM’s 130-year history and provide valuable insights into how the Institute has adapted to continually position our members as leaders and advocates for upholding professional standards and ethical practice worldwide. He will outline the key strategic initiatives and direction AusIMM is taking to better support our members as well as growing our profile as the trusted voice for all people in the resources industry.

This event will bring together our valued members and stakeholders from across the UK for an evening of reflection, networking, and conversation. In addition to Dave and Leigh, Galen White, UK representative will be on hand along with members of the UK committee to provide updates on local events planned for the rest of the year. While we celebrate the past 130 years, we more importantly look to engage on the critical conversations needed to build an environmentally responsible, sustainable sector for the future.
