PD Hours
Due to current Covid-19 restrictions, the South West WA Branch and AusIMM have decided to adapt the event to a virtual event with the hope to return to in-person soon.

Please join the South West WA Branch for the first Technical Talk of the year hosted by Chris Lane.

About this event

The implementation of the Global Industry Standard on Tailings Management is changing the approach to tailings storge design, construction, and operation.

Financiers and insurers are looking very closely at existing and new projects to see the asses the risks of the projects they are involved with.

This presentation will, in broad terms, go through the 15 Principles of the GISTM and the associated documents.

It will look at the relevant standards and the impact of the principles on these standards, impacts on existing mining operations and impacts on future/proposed mining operations.
