About this event

The Tasmania Branch and the Geodiscovery Group are hosting a tour to the mining heritage and geology around Zeehan, and to the north of Queen Hill. This is the most historically productive part of the field.

The tour plans to stop at the following sites:

• Queen Hill drill core viewing
• Main Street and tramways
• Montana no 2 & road cutting 1
• Road cutting 2
• Oonah Hill Stannite Mill Site
• Montana mine site
• Western mine site
• Road cutting 3
• Montana Ag Pb mine and mill ruins

The tour meeting point at 9.00am will be Stellar Resources Core yard (Main Street, Zeehan), and will finish at the Zeehan Museum.

Please note: Own transport is required, the group will be travelling in a convoy.
