Webinar: Urban Mining- Direct Lithium-Ion Battery Recycling Process
Learn how the Saskatchewan Research Council's (SRC) direct recycling process of lithium-ion battery metals will help industry meet the growing demand for critical metals and divert batteries from landfills.
About this event
The world is experiencing exponential market growth for lithium-ion batteries. SRC is focused on developing a sustainable direct lithium-ion battery recycling process to recover the battery metals directly and selectively through an advanced sorting and disassembly process. Other metals are selectively leached and separated using leaching and solvent-extraction technologies. In this webinar, learn how spent battery recycling can help to close the enlarging gap between demand and supply, as well as reduce the environmental footprint.
Learn how SRC's direct recycling process of lithium-ion battery metals will help industry meet the growing demand for critical metals and divert batteries from landfills.
This webinar will be presented by Dr Jack Zhang, Associate Vice-President, Strategic Technologies, Mining and Minerals - Saskatchewan Research Council.
