The world is experiencing exponential market growth for lithium-ion batteries. SRC is focused on developing a sustainable direct lithium-ion battery recycling process to recover the battery metals directly and selectively through an advanced sorting and disassembly process. Other metals are selectively leached and separated using leaching and solvent-extraction technologies. In this webinar, learn how spent battery recycling can help to close the enlarging gap between demand and supply, as well as reduce the environmental footprint.

Dr Jack Zhang is the Associate Vice-President, Strategic Technologies in SRC’s Mining and Minerals Division. He has over 20 years of extensive industrial, engineering, operation and research experience. His major areas of focus include the processing of rare earth, uranium, potash and phosphate, rare metals, lithium, industrial minerals, as well as tailings/mine water/effluent treatment. At SRC, he has led and supervised numerous mineral processing, metallurgical testing, optimization and R&D projects for global clients.
