In a joint announcement, Australia’s Minister for Resources Madeleine King and Trade and Tourism Minister Senator the Hon Don Farrell shared the 108-page document, noting that it included projects ‘ripe for funding’ across the critical minerals supply chain.

The prospectus also includes updated figures of Australia’s critical mineral resources and information on new developments in the market.

“The road to net zero runs through Australia’s resources sector,” said Minister King.

“Australia’s critical minerals are key to the world’s energy transformation. But we need to attract investment to get these minerals out of the ground, to process them here, to build the batteries, wind turbines and solar panels required make the switch to a lower carbon economy.

“This prospectus will help attract the investment we need to build new industries, create jobs and reduce global emissions.”
The prospectus is an important tool to help Australia to engage with an international audience according to Sen Farrell.

“This Prospectus showcases many game-changing Australian critical minerals opportunities for international investors. We have an abundance of minerals with a strong regulatory environment, and a range of free trade agreements with countries in need of our resources.

“More international investment in critical minerals means more jobs, including value-adding jobs for Australian workers on these projects.”
