Diversity and Inclusion Workshop Moderator

Katrina is a globally experienced mining engineer with significant operational experience across several commodities and mining methods. She is a qualified Chartered Professional (CP Mining), a Graduate of Australian Institute Company Directors and has achieved a New South Wales Certificate of Competence as Production Manager of an underground mine.

Katrina is a passionate advocate for inclusion and diversity, working to inspire young women into careers in STEM and across the resources sector more broadly. Sitting on the Board of Directors for AusIMM, a Royal Chartered not-for-profit representing the highest standards of ethics and professionalism for 14,000 professionals globally in the sector, she contributes as Chair for the Audit & Risk Committee, Chair of the Council for Diversity & Inclusion and also sponsors the AusIMM mentoring program which creates opportunities for building career pathways and nurtures the next generation of resource professionals.

In 2022, Katrina was named in the “100 Global Inspirational Women in Mining” (WIM100); a biennial publication that highlights the wealth of female talent within the global mining industry, celebrates women's “above & beyond” contributions to the industry, and identifies role models for future generations.
