VP Upstream, Lynas Rare Earths
Kam is a chemical engineer with over 35 years experience in base metals, mineral sands and rare earths and with responsibilities from mining through to refining.
As VP Upstream, Kam is focused on operating and expanding Lynas’ upstream capability including the growth of Mt Weld and the development of a new Rare Earths Processing Facility in Kalgoorlie. Kam joined Lynas in 2012 as General Manager WA with responsibility for the Lynas Mt Weld operations in the northern goldfields of Western Australia. In 2014, Kam took on responsibility for ramping up the Lynas Rare Earths Processing Facility in Malaysia and he was appointed as VP Upstream in September 2020.
Kam has previously worked for Mt Isa Mines, BHP and Iluka Resources.
