Call for abstracts closing soon

Time is running out to submit an abstract for the Australian Mine Ventilation Conference 2022, being held on the Gold Coast and online, 10-12 October 2022.

The abstract submissions portal will close on Friday, 29 October, so we encourage you to submit your abstract today.

We invite you to present on the latest practices and developments in mine ventilation engineering and share your solutions and challenges in achieving more productive, cost-efficient, functional, and safe systems. The organising committee are particularly interested in submissions that cover the design, operation, technology, and safety of these systems. Topics include;

  • Ventilation monitoring and control (air flow, air quality, etc) - Coal, Metalliferous, Tunnelling
  • Coal seam gas, including gas draining, storage and utilisation - Coal
  • Detection and control of spontaneous combustion - Coal, Metalliferous
  • Main and booster fans - Coal, Metalliferous, Tunneling
  • Auxiliary Fans - Coal, Metalliferious, Tunneling
  • Seal-up management – Coal
  • Ventilation planning - Coal, Metalliferous, Tunnelling

Industry professionals and researchers working and/or involved in underground mining are invited to submit an abstract. This includes mine and technical managers, superintendents, ventilation professionals, consultants, industry regulators and inspectors, academics, and students.

Your research and findings could contribute to delivering high standards of practice in underground mining operations within Australia and around the world.
