The National Mining Games 2024 event will be held in Brisbane, QLD at the conclusion of the New Leaders Summit with the games to be hosted by University of Queensland at Mining 3, Pinjarra Hills (UQ Campus).

The Games will feature 9 events; Hand Steel, Blast Face Tie In, Gold Panning, Mucking, Rock Identification, Swede Saw, Survey, Risk Assessment and Track Stand.

The competition will include women's, mixed, men’s and alumni teams of a maximum of six participants, competing in these events for prizes to be awarded at the Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony on the evening of the final day. 

To attend the National Mining Games, you must be:

A member of an AusIMM Student Chapter (for student teams); OR
An AusIMM member (for industry teams).
