Penny pursued her PhD studies at the JKMRC, University of Queensland, focusing on developing statistical models to predict the mechanical behaviour of rock.

As CEO of PETRA Data Science, Penny leads the world-leading provider of machine learning and optimisation solutions to the global mining industry, including their flagship digital twin value chain optimisation suite.
