Phillip is a senior geologist specialising in lithium brines, gold, iron ore and copper and has been CEO and Chairman of a number of ASX and TSX companies and has amassed a wealth of experience in exploration, mine feasibility and development, operations, minerals trading, corporate strategy and valuation. He has significant trading and investment banking experience having been a senior executive at Macquarie Bank, ABN-Amro, McIntosh Securities, Admiralty Resources NL, and on TSX CSE exchanges Arrowstar Resources, Recharge Resources and Armory Resources. He is currently Executive Chairman for Patagonia Lithium Ltd (ASX:PL3), and past Chairman of Austral Resources Australia Ltd (ASX:AR1) a major copper producer. He is also CEO of Ekosolve Pty Limited a DLE lithium extraction process provider (www.ekosolve.com.au) who are currently designing a project in Mt Vernon, Texas USA.

Phil has substantial Australian and international mining experience having worked in Chile (iron ore, copper,) , Argentina (lithium brines, lithium production), Peru (IOCG), Mexico (iron ore, copper), USA, Canada (iron ore, copper) and Malaysia (iron ore, tin). He has a keen understanding of the skills required for the successful development of mining businesses and the teams that run them. He is a Chartered Professional Valuation with the AusIMM and Member of AIG.

Gurtan provides valuations, acquisition and sale of mining projects and finance (both equity and debt). It also provides geological consulting services with a specialty in lithium brines, iron ore and gold.
