Seeking expressions of interest to join the Board of Professional Engineers of Queensland

AusIMM is seeking expressions of interest from members who would be eligible to nominate to join the Board of Professional Engineers of Queensland (BPEQ/the Board).

Eligible nominees will be put forward by AusIMM to BPEQ to go through their assessment and selection process.

The Professional Engineers Act 2002 (the Act) provides that the Board consist of seven members, one of whom is a registered professional engineer who lives and undertakes professional engineering services predominantly in regional Queensland. The appointment of the current member representing regional Queensland, Mr Andrew Seccombe, is due to expire on 31 March 2024.

Appointments to the Board will be for a period of three years part-time from 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2027. Board members are remunerated in accordance with Level 1 of the ‘Regulation, Administration and Advice’ category of the Remuneration Procedures for Part-time Chairs and Members of Queensland Government Bodies.
