Becoming a Student Member of the AusIMM is a pathway into networking with your own generation of emerging geoscientists, and those professionals who are active in the mining industry. Many of the student associations hold social functions, along with encouraging guest speakers from industry to help student make the jump from student academia to operational professionals. Students are often offered discounts to attend AusIMM functions and industry conferences and training programs.
