Geoscience Society recognises professional excellence

The AusIMM Awards have been recognising contributions to AusIMM and professional excellence in the resources sector for more than 80 years. The awards help to promote and raise the overall standard of professional practice and send a clear message to our communities that we are committed to the highest standards. In January 2023, the most recent AusIMM awards were announced.

The AusIMM Geoscience Committee awarded Jessica Keats AAusIMM a recognition award on her initiatives and benefits to the broader geoscience community of initiating and hosting a regular program of “GeoHug” webinars focussed on applied exploration geoscience. The webinars, which are offered free to subscribers, enabled geoscientists who were otherwise unable to work due to Cov19 restrictions, to maintain programs of professional development over this challenging period. The GeoHug webinars continue post Covid19.
