Hunter Region Branch: May 2025 Chair Update
Dear Hunter Branch members,
This edition of our newsletter provides a comprehensive update on a number of recent and upcoming Branch activities. Notably, we want to bring to your attention that the Branch is preparing to host AusIMM President Chris Carr on a visit to the region on 27th August 2025. We are making arrangements to complete the day with a dinner in the evening, where Chris will give his perspective on AusIMM and the current issues for professionals in the resources industry. We will release details of the event in due course, but in the meantime encourage you to keep this date available to attend the event as it would be a great opportunity to connect with members from across the Branch.
Pleasingly, the Committee has been able to welcome some new members recently. Welcome to Shane Holmes, Dale Sims and Colette Blake. Growing the branch committee membership is important for the diversity and the sustainability of the Committee over time, so members who are interested in getting involved are always welcome.
