Hunter Student Branch update

The Hunter Student Chapter has been very active recently, and the first major event for 2026 will be the Students Meet Industry Night to be held at the Crown & Anchor Hotel in Newcastle on Wednesday 25 February at 6pm.

A program of events for 2026 has been planned, including competing at the Mining Games.

The Chapter is launching a new website with an interactive calendar of events.
Recruitment of new members from university faculties not traditionally associated directly with mining has been a successful strategy.

Sponsorship of student events by companies is being sought to enable a full program for 2026.
