Hunter Student Chapter August Update

This year the Student Chapter has already had two mine site visits, to MTW and Bengalla operations. Students from various faculties attended. The Chapter also ran a very successful Students Meet Industry event.

Our Chapter will have 5 representatives attending the New Leaders Summit and Mining Games in Perth.

The Welcome Week function went well, as did a small social event over breakfast.

A small SMI night with Centennial Coal for 25 students is going ahead.

A Glencore site visit is coming up and a bus will be provided.

The event at Bar on the Hill will go ahead on 15 September with sponsorship.

We hope to send representatives to AusIMM Congress in Brisbane in October.
