Hunter Student Chapter October Update

The Hunter Student Chapter has been very active recently with the following events.

  • New Leaders Summit and APAC Mining Games in Perth
  • Bulga site tour: Nine students toured the pit lookout, coal handling and preparation plant, and rehab site. For most it was their first time seeing operations up close.
  • Mining Futures: A cross-disciplinary Early Careers Panel and Networking event: 65 attendees at Bar on the Hill, sponsored by Xenith & TACTech (Tim Baitch, Michelle Lawson and Chloe Piggford were on the panel)
  • Student execs attended the NPN Newcastle Industry Insight Symposium at Ginger Meg’s, hosted by Liam Kelly (Yancoal)
  • WIMnet sponsored the Chapter President & Vice President to join their Hunter Valley Leadership Day.
