The Politics of Mining in New Zealand
'The politics of mining in New Zealand' is a topic I chose myself because of its importance in the future of the New Zealand mining industry. There are many people in the industry who are cynical about politics, cynical about politicians and definitely cynical and often critical of political decisions. In fact, many industry people say they don't want to get involved in politics, they just want to get on with the business of exploration or mining._x000D_
The point of my address is that politics is important and the industry cannot afford not to participate in the political process.
