Current Approaches and New Developments in Reducing Environmental Impacts in the Mining Industry
Explorationn and mining have shown to cause significant impacts to the terrestrial and marine environment. Current mining and exploration techniques are outlined in the light of their potential to impact upon the environment, ie negligibly, negatively or positively. A profile of five Australian-based gold producers is presented. The development of protocols to specifically deal with the highly regulated and ever changing, mining and environmental legislation._x000D_
