Mining Can Improve the Environment

Mining is a necessary part of our modern lifestyle. Contrary to the view of some people not conversant with the facts mining has in many cases improved the environment. This paper described how two sand dune systems that were unstable prior to mining have been stabilised by revegetation after mining.
