Mineral Exploration - Science, Serendipity, Psychology
Mineral exploration is the business of finding and defining ore
deposits. Ore bodies are developed into mines and mines supply
every mineral and metal upon which our society is built.
Whether it be steel for our bridges, cement and aggregate for our
concrete, coal for our power stations, copper for our wire,
phosphate for our fertiliser or gold for our jewellery it first must
he found, then mined and processed before we can use it. There
is no other way.
