In the 100 years since the formation of The Australasian Institute of
Mining and Metallurgy there have been significant changes in all aspects
of the mining industry.
A number of the changes have been driven by technical evolution or
necessity, others have been driven by developments in the application of
the products produced from the mining of minerals. Other changes have
been driven by shifts in community values.
