On stibio-tantalite, a new mineral from the St Anniferous gravel at Green Bushes, Bunbury, West Australia
THE tinfield of Bunbury, in West Australia, was discovered in the latter part of the year 1888, and has been continuously productive to present time. From the annual report of the Government Geologist, H. P. Woodward, Esq., F.G.S., for 1890, the following particulars relative to the locality have been derived ; and specimens of the tin ore and associated material obtained from prospectors who have worked on the field are exhibited to this meeting. The tinfield is situated on the Bunbury-Bridgetown road, and extends south to the Black wood river. The country is very rough, with high hills and deep gullies ; the highest peak in the district rises from the field. The nearest point is Bunbury, from which a railway runs- 18 miles to the foot of the hilly country, after which a good road leads to the field.
