THE following description of a filter press plant recently installed to treat a dump of accumulated slimes at Menzies, W.A., for the Menzies Mining and Exploration Corporation Limited, will, it is trusted, prove useful to any who are contemplating the erection of a slimes plant ; and for this reason details have been somewhat fully gone into. As the amount of slimes to be treated was limited to some 12,000 tons, the expenditure on the plant had to be kept low, but it is not thought that efficiency was sacrificed to low first cost.
