Notes on the estimation of zinc by ferro-cyanide in acid solutions
THE alkaline method for the estimation of zinc cannot, in the writer's opinion, be relied upon to within very narrow limits between two assayers on unknown quantities of zinc. The end point is not decisive enough, and allows the personal factor to enter largely into the assay. The following investigation was undertaken to see how accurate the acid method is on Broken Hill concentrates and ores, and what should be the limit between the results of two assayers.
