Analyses of Some New Zealand Scheelites
Analyses of scheelite from all the known scheelite fields in the South Island of New Zealand have shown that the scheelites are essentially molybdenum-free. The scheelites are almost stoichiometric CaWO4, except for some strontium replacing the calcium, with a maximum of 092 per cent SrO. Variation in strontium content appears to be' related to the metamorphic grade of the enclosing rocks.
