The Application of Sodium Peroxide Sintering Techniques to the Analysis of Minerals and Rocks by Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy
Techniques have been developed for the dissolution of a wide range of rocks and minerals by a sodium peroxide sinter process. A olarge number of elements are determined by atomic absorption spectroscopy, and other elements such as arsenic and sulphur are determined by chemical analytical methods. The methods adopted to overcome inter-element and ionization effects on the atomic absorption results are discussed.
