Escondida: A Case Study in Success and Innovation
Escondida is a state-of-the-art copper mining operation. It is the major copper project of the 1990s and is the largest new investment in the industry - a US$823 million project. It accounts for about six per cent of Chile's total exports, making Escondida the largest private exporting company in Chile.
