Hydrotransportation of Raw Coal from Pit Face to Washplant
The paper asks the question 'Why Limit the HYDROTRANSPORT of material to the confines of your washplant'.
A brief historical review of widely accepted slurry transport operation establishes that we are not talking about new technology - simply applying proven experience to an innovative continuous system. The paper reviews a simple potential application and compares capital and operating costs with conventional trucking.
No attempt has been made to develop a complete mine plan and the comparison has been limited to material transport costs.
