The volume begins with a series of review papers on the New Zealand minerals industry, geological setting and selected mineral deposit types, followed by papers on the geology and exploration of individual prospective areas and mineral deposits. A particular emphasis is on compiling and reporting the latest research and mineral exploration results from relevant open-file exploration reports submitted by companies to government, thus making this otherwise unpublished information more accessible.
