Jules has worked in the mining and energy sectors for more than 22 years, as a mining engineer in early career and in environmental management, approvals and sustainability strategy for the past 18 years.  She holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Mining) and Master of Environmental Management.  Jules has worked in operational, corporate and consulting roles across Australia and Asia-Pacific and has expertise in strategic planning, risk management, project management, governance, approvals and compliance, mine closure and operational HSE management with a focus on environmental performance.  In her current role with BHP as Head of Social Value Governance and Integration she works with the business to ensure delivery of plans to meet their 2030 sustainability goals under the Social Value Framework.

Jules has been actively involved in the AusIMM for over 20 years, holding various leadership and committee roles including for the Social and Environment Society, Life of Mine conference committee and WIMnet.
