Michelle has over 30 years of experience in Energy, Infrastructure, Finance, and Not-For-Profits with leading global organisations. Her expertise spans high-level financial advisory, ESG, risk management, and board-level strategy planning. As a Chartered Accountant, she provides sharp financial insights into vast operations, enhancing business performance. Michelle brings a strong operational lens and commercial acumen, covering entire project life cycle from concept to operations and rehabilitation, together with over a decade of experience as a Director and Joint Venture Committee Chair.

Michelle currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer and Diocesan Financial Administrator for the Catholic Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle. She also holds several board roles as a Non-Executive Director with Essential Energy, AusIMM, Mark Hughes Foundation, and Banksia Village, and serves as an Independent External Member of the Audit, Risk and Improvement Committee at Central Coast Council.

A Fellow of the AusIMM, she’s held positions including Chair for WIMnet NSW and Deputy Chair of the national Women in Mining committee, as well as Chair for two AusIMM Conferences. She has also contributed as one of the SME Facilitators for the Associate Certificate Course: Cost Estimation for the Resources Industry. Her leadership in Women in Mining networks and mentoring programs, has gained her awards on state, national, and international platforms. Furthermore, Michelle's unique combination of professional insight and award-winning artistic talent sets her apart. This blend allows her to offer innovative solutions and fresh perspectives, making her a passionate advocate for authentic leadership and diverse thinking. Committed to nurturing future industry leaders, Michelle champions sustainable practices in line with governance and social licence objectives.
