Spotlighting Emily-Jane (EJ) Schutte

Emily-Jane Schutte discovered mining through the AusIMM Hunter Student Chapter while studying at the University of Newcastle, finding community, connection and opportunity in the resources sector.                         

Through AusIMM events, site tours and technical talks, Emily-Jane has built valuable industry connections and gained opportunities including internships, leadership roles, presenting at IMARC and receiving an AusIMM Education Endowment Fund Scholarship. She now actively supports the Hunter Student Chapter, Hunter Region Branch and WIMnet NSW.
