Spotlighting Leroy Crawford-Flett
Leroy Crawford-Flett MAusIMM(CP) is Exploration & Geology Manager at OceanaGold New Zealand's Waihi operation, where he leads exploration and resource development across the district. Drawn to the resources sector by curiosity, he has built a career in exploration geology and is particularly proud of helping progress the Wharekirauponga project from discovery through to the opening of the Waihi North portal in 2026.
AusIMM has played an important role throughout Leroy's career, providing an early introduction to the industry and supporting his development as a Chartered Professional. Through the Institute and his involvement with the New Zealand Branch committee, he has built a strong network of industry connections and broadened his professional perspective.
