Spotlighting Lucy de Souza
Lucy de Souza SAusIMM is a Mining Engineering student at UNSW and Secretary of the AusIMM Sydney Student Chapter. Through her studies, industry experience and leadership roles, she is developing both the technical and professional skills needed to build a successful career in the resources sector.
From attending events as a first-year student to helping create opportunities for others through chapter leadership, Lucy has embraced opportunities to build industry connections, contribute to the student community and gain practical exposure to the profession. Through networking, professional development and industry engagement, she continues to grow her understanding of the sector and the role she hopes to play within it.
