AusIMM set to deliver a transformative 2024 Thought Leadership Series
AusIMM, the peak body for people working in the resources industry, is delighted to announce the return of the Thought Leadership Series in 2024. Over a Series of live and online events, forward-thinking leaders will address global challenges, exchange ideas, and propel innovation and transformation for the mining sector.
Co-hosted with Signature Partner PwC, the Series marks its seventh year fostering insightful conversations between industry leaders, mining executives, government bodies, academia, and resources professionals. The Series features four live, VIP events across Australia and will be streamed online, allowing the global mining community to access it on-demand free of charge.
The 2024 Series theme ‘responsible mining in a digital era’ aims to build on the conversations from the successful 2023 Series that unearthed the shifting paradigm of sustainable mining. Esteemed panelists will explore four strategic topics:
- Innovating for success in a digital era – managing and integrating the groundbreaking technologies transforming mining operations, streamlining processes, and unlocking efficiencies.
- Investing in a sustainable future – funding a sustainable and productive critical minerals sector, securing the materials needed for a greener world.
- Achieving a nature positive advantage – embracing the era of transparent environmental accounting, navigating the complexities of biodiversity metrics, and adapting to evolving regulations.
- Striking the balance between safety and productivity – accessing the essential tools to foster a culture grounded in safety, inclusion, and productivity, addressing the persistent obstacles that stand in the way.
The Series will kick off with "innovating for success in a digital era" in Perth on Wednesday 29 May 2024. This will be followed by events in Melbourne, Brisbane, and Perth, each focusing on key aspects crucial for navigating the rapidly evolving landscape of responsible mining.
