Mischa Traynor

Vice President Environment, BHP

Mischa is a senior leader in environment, sustainability and ESG.  She has over 20 years’ experience in roles with environmental regulators, consulting firms, mine owners and mining services providers.  

Mischa joined BHP in June 2022 and leads the Group Environment function addressing nature, water stewardship, biodiversity, environmental performance.  She is passionate about managing intersecting sustainability issues to create sustainable social value creation.

Prior to joining BHP, Mischa led teams in environment, civil engineering, water, innovation and technology, sustainability, climate and ESG. 

Mischa holds a Bachelor (Hons) Degree in Environmental Science from the University of Queensland.
