Course structure
This on-demand, self-paced course is delivered via a series of videos, supported by a number of written resources. A range of activities is included to apply your learning as you work your way through the course. These activities include a combination of multiple-choice and short answer type questions. There are also a number of optional videos and resources you can choose to view to enhance your knowledge of the JORC Code.
We recommend allowing around 10 hours to complete the course, but you will have access to the platform for six months.

What are the technical requirements to participate in the course? i.e. do I need a webcam, microphone, etc?
The course will be run entirely online via a cloud-based Learning Management System (LMS) which can be accessed via computer, tablet or phone. Participants will simply need to have a working Internet connection and a computer, tablet or phone with sound to access the course.
How long will the course take?
The course is self-paced but we recommend allowing around three weeks (one week per module) to complete. It is expected that participants will take about 10 hours to complete the course.
How long will I have access to the course?
You will have access to the course content for six months.
How often will the course be run?
As the course is run on-demand you may choose to sign up at any time.
Can a participant sign up for only one or two modules?
Unfortunately no, the course must be completed in its entirety.
Will the course be delivered in other languages?
At the moment, no, but we will be looking at delivering the course in other languages in the near future.
Must a participant complete and pass all modules in order to finish the course?
Yes, it is a requirement for participants to complete all modules and pass all learning activities.
Does someone have to have a prequalification of years’ experience before they can do the course?
No. This course will help participants to better understand the JORC Code and its requirements.
How many PD hours do I receive for undertaking the course?
Participants can earn professional development (PD) hours for undertaking the course. One contact hour of technical content is equivalent to one PD hour.
