A life of service: Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

On behalf of the AusIMM and many members who met Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on her many visits to Australia we offer our deep condolences to the Royal Family.

Our Royal Charter, granted by the Queen in 1955, underpins our By-Laws, our Code of Ethics and our commitment to advancing the industry’s professionalism in service of the community good.

The Queen’s name adorns parks and places from Broken Hill to Parliament House. Her historic reign and visits to mining towns big and small spanned the generations and touched many lives.

On this most solemn of occasions, we pay our deep respects to a Monarch, a leader, a woman who gave her life to public service and her people.
