AusIMM, in partnership with the Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions Victoria have announced the winners of the 2021 Women on Boards Scholarship.

The second cohort of recipients for 2021, the scholarship works to elevate and profile the expertise of technical women in the resources industry of Victoria while also driving to improve gender diversity around boardrooms in the State.

Three commendable women with a range of experiences, Pauline Sullivan, Lauren Elliott and Erin Carswell have been awarded the scholarship, which will see them go on to complete a new online AICD course as well as be profiled through AusIMM events and publications as potential board candidates.

Pauline Sullivan

Pauline is currently a Director at PwC. Prior to this Pauline was leading the Organisation Capability & Development team for Orica across Australia, the Pacific and Asia. With experience across various leading roles in HR, Procurement, Corporate Planning and Legal teams, Pauline comes with a strong business foundation that she is able to leverage on a daily basis. A highly motivated and experienced HR practitioner with 20 years’ experience in consulting and resource operations Pauline has a strong focus on HR and change management in large scale business transformations for the resources sector.

“This is an opportunity to be a visible role model for women across industry by demonstrating what is possible now, and into the future when we believe in ourselves. Being part of the journey to increase diversity across both the executive and board levels is fundamental to making genuine sustainable change.”

Erin Carswell

The recipients will go on to take part in Company Directors Course Online, and will receive profiling opportunities within the AusIMM to kickstart their journey towards Board positions for the industry and more widely.
