Your new AusIMM President for 2027
AusIMM is pleased to announce Amy Lamb FAusIMM(CP) has been elected AusIMM President for 2027.
The President plays a significant leadership role as Chair of the AusIMM Board and promotes an ethical, sustainable and safe resources sector on behalf of all AusIMM members.
Amy has 30 years’ experience within the mining industry and has served as an AusIMM Director since 2022. Amy holds degrees in Chemical Engineering (BS), Metallurgical Engineering (MS), an executive MBA, and is a graduate of the AICD Directors’ course. Her expertise spans multi-commodity technical and production management, strategy development, strategic planning and project management. Amy has held operational and corporate roles in Rio Tinto and MMG.
Alongside her current AusIMM Board role, Amy volunteers on the Production Centre Advisory Council for the Sustainable Minerals Institute at the University of Queensland.
The Board would like to sincerely thank President Chris Carr FAusIMM(CP) for his ongoing dedication and contribution to AusIMM, especially during his presidential term of 2025-26.

Amy will commence her appointment on 1 January 2027.
