The committee held a focused discussion with Andrew Logan, David Scutt, Cath Turner, Hendrik Lourens, Loren Ager and Peter Standish on practical opportunities to lift industry performance.

A strong theme was the need to create a more regular cadence of member communication, including newsletters, recorded committee conversations, fireside chats and potential webinars.

The discussion reinforced the value of using committee conversations as a source of practical insight for members, rather than limiting Society activity to formal meetings and event notices.

The committee also noted the importance of recognising high-quality contributions to industry health and safety through the AusIMM awards process.
