Health and Safety Society July 2026: Opportunity for member involvement

The Health and Safety Society is looking for member input on the issues that should shape our next phase of work. In particular, we would welcome practical examples, case studies or discussion topics on:

• How to lift consistency in standards across sites, contractors and operating contexts
• How to move beyond lag indicators and better measure the quality of critical work, supervision, inspections, planning and leadership engagement
• How production instability, cost pressure or workforce change has affected risk in real operations
• Where technology, automation or AI is genuinely reducing exposure, decision load, or variation in work quality
• What commitments the industry should make if we are serious about reducing fatality risk rather than accepting a long-term plateau
