Who would have thought when I successfully joined ConSoc late 2020 for the 2021 year that I would be stepping up into the large shoes of Chair for 2024!

It has been a journey and a privilege to work with such motivated past and present members of ConSoc.

In my first year, assisting with the Mineral Consultants Handbook webinar series, and then on the development and presentation of the Study Processes course over the last 3 years. Soon we will have a handbook to share with the broader community, which we know is eagerly awaited. I have deeply appreciated the mentoring and support of the ConSoc community and look forwards to setting the scene for the next three years with the committee in the New Year.

Of course, I am not able to let the changeover pass by without thanking our soon to be past Chair, Peter Fairfield. Peter has left me with the impression that I must always be prepared, being willing and able to step in to steer the ConSoc community as needed. I have to thank Peter and Sandra Malbourne for making sure that I am always prepared for the next challenge.

To our ConSoc community past and present members, I am looking forwards to continuing our journey together and representing our community in the best way, together.

Thank you, and Season’s Greetings to all.
