ArcelorMittal Maizières Research collaborated with Steinert to assess the feasibility of using sensor based sorting and dry magnetic separation to beneficiate a Bosnian goethitic iron ore contaminated with barite. The goal was to reduce sulfur content – primarily from barite – to mitigate SOx emissions during sinter production for steelmaking.
