This presentation will first discuss the challenges to make pellets from the existing Direct Ship Ore (DSO) sinter fines and then give a brief introduction of CSIRO’s research and development in this area. The metallurgical performance of the pellets made from various DSO sinter fines will be presented, demonstrating the potential to produce pellets from this type of ores with a wide spectrum of goethite content.
