The BHP Steel Group embarked on a Total Quality Control (TQC) programme in 1984 in response to enquiries from a major customer regarding procedures for quality in materials supply._x000D_
The TQC initiative has been adopted by all seven Divisions of the Steel Group and covers a broad and comprehensive range of management and workforce improvement initiatives._x000D_
